Closing date: Monday, 2 October 2017

Council has prepared Amendment C359 to the Planning Scheme and it is now on public exhibition.   Submissions can be made online using the form below.

The amendment proposes to:

  • implement the findings of the City Fringe Heritage Area Review 2016 through changes to existing heritage overlays and the addition of new heritage overlays and local planning policies.

  • implement some of the findings of the Outer Areas Heritage Study 1998-2000, as updated by the Ceres Heritage Study Report 2017 through the application of the heritage overlay to 6 individual sites.

  • implement the findings of the Former Dennys Lascelles Woolstore Heritage Assessment 2017 through the application of an individual heritage overlay.

  • amend various mapping and schedule anomalies within the Heritage Overlay.

The amendment also proposes to delete the heritage overlay (HO741) and the Environmental Audit Overlay (EAO) from the former ropewalk at 9 Scarlett Street Geelong West.

The "Notice of Preparation of Amendment", "Explanatory Report" and the maps below under Amendment Documents provide full details of the proposed heritage overlay changes.

The following maps provide a summary of the changes in the three City Fringe areas:
