Community gardens are natural living, sensory environments. They encourage
people to be physically active and they offer
a place for people to put down roots. Not
only do they connect people with plants, food
and culture, most importantly they connect
people with other people.
The Community Garden Network facilitated
by the City of Greater Geelong, is a forum for
people who are passionate about
Community Gardens. The objectives are:
Support existing and new gardens
Build relationships between gardens to
share knowledge, skills and resource
Advocate and raise awareness of the value of Community Gardens
Thinking of starting a community garden?
Creating a community garden can be a long process and requires a group of committed, motivated and organised people.
