Apply for a permit to burn

An application form needs to be submitted to obtain a Permit to Burn for any burning off.

Permits can be applied for outside of the Fire Danger Period, that is: from the end of the Fire Danger Period up until the first week of November.

When completing the application form you will need to tell us:

  1. Applicant details and contact information

  2. Property where burn-off is proposed including specific details

  3. Type of vegetation required to be burnt

  4. Estimated  times for the burn-off for a single burn

  5. If single or multiple burn-offs are proposed

Your completed application form must be submitted for consideration with our Fire Prevention Unit either by post, fax or email.
