Land information certificates (LICs)

This certificate tells you about the property that you are purchasing so that when you become the owner, all rates and charges are paid on settlement.

Anyone can apply for a Land Information Certificate, although usually it is your solicitor or conveyancer who does this for you. Privacy Act requirements may apply.

The cost to obtain a LIC for 2016-2017 Financial Year is $25.40.

Online Certificate Service

We recommend this service to recurring applicants only. Payment for the Certificate cannot be made online via credit card.

Our Online Certificate Service allows solicitors and conveyancers to apply for Land Information Certificates via our secure website.

We provide this service to give a quick and efficient response to the information required for settlement of a property.

To use this service the applicant must complete a Credit Application Form. Upon approval the applicant will be supplied with a user identification and password.

We will issue a Land Information Certificate to the applicant via e-mail in PDF format within 2 working days from receiving the online application.

Applications can still be made manually if that is preferred.
