Carousel
Come and spend some magical time at the beautifully restored Carousel at the Geelong Waterfront.
The Carousel is an ideal accessible meeting place for the community, and we take pride in providing a memorable experience for all ages and abilities.
This has been made possible with improved access to the pavilion, the welcome installation of a mobility lift and recharge point. The mobility lift enables a wheelchair to go on the Carousel ride and was specially designed to respect and complement the history of the Carousel.

The Armitage-Herschell portable steam driven, hand-carved wooden carousel was constructed circa 1892 and is one of only 200 in operation around the world. Featuring 36 Dare horses and 2 chariots, it was purchased by the Steampacket Place Development Board in 1996 and painstakingly restored.

The Carousel is a great indoor venue for children to celebrate their birthday, and stress free for parents with set-up and cleaning provided.
Each package includes your own party area with tables and chairs, and best of all, a fun filled one and a half hours of Carousel rides!
Private Hire - Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions, Photo Shoots and Private and Corporate Functions
A spectacular venue featuring breathtaking waterfront views, the Carousel will make your private function a truly memorable event.
The Carousel Pavilion houses a beautifully restored c.1892 Carousel which is available to be privately booked for Wedding Ceremonies, Photo Shoots, Wedding Receptions and Private and Corporate Functions.
This competitively priced, exclusive all weather venue is available for private hire, seven days a week from 3pm.
The Carousel can accomodate up to 150 guests at a cocktail style function or up to 80 guests for a seated function.
The decking area surrounding the west side of the pavilion is a fantastic optional extra for an outdoor waterfront party location or wedding ceremony.
During your function two Carousel staff are available to asssit in the smooth running of the function and the Carousel.
