Phone tower application: Bellarine Peninsula

Thursday, 7 December 2017

We issued this media statement to Singapore Straits Times regarding a proposal for an Optus phone tower to be built at St Leonards on the Bellarine Peninsula.

City of Greater Geelong spokesperson:

The application for a new mobile phone tower, proposed to be erected at 391 Old St Leonard’s Road, Bellarine Peninsula, has just completed the mandatory notification period.

The City has received 13 objections.

The City is now considering the proposal and is yet to make any decision.

Consequently, approval has neither been granted or denied.

The City has scheduled a consultation meeting with objectors to discuss their concerns, and to allow the permit applicant to consider any alterations to its proposal, if possible.
