Geelong Saleyards

The Geelong Saleyards has permanently closed to the sale of sheep and cattle on 31 August 2017.

The City will engage with operators of Geelong’s poultry sales to determine the future of sales at the site (sales will continue every Monday in the meantime), and with representatives of the livestock transport industry to determine the future of the facility’s truck wash. The truck wash will remain open in the meantime.

Monday sheep sales will commence at the Colac Regional Saleyards (55 Colac-Ballarat Road, Irrewarra) from 10:00am on Monday 18 September 2017. Sheep can be dropped off on Sunday 17 September 2017 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm or on Monday 18 September 2017 from 7:00am to 9:00am. For further information contact Graeme Riches on 0407 092 195. .
