To further assist in the prevention of the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and ensure the continued health of our community we will be closing all Swim Sport & Leisure centres and recreation facilities from 19 March 2020.

All programs, competitions and activities will be cancelled during this time.

UPDATE 27 March 2020: Due to the recent updates and changes as outlined by the Government in regards to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) we will extend our temporary closures until further notice.

UPDATE 2 August 2020: STAGE 3 RESTRICTIONS – The City of Greater Geelong will be moving quickly to meet the new Stay at Home COVID-19 restrictions announced by the Victorian Government Sunday afternoon. These are aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19 and minimising impacts on the community. 
This change means that Barwon Valley Activity Centre and all of the facilities and services offered will close from 11.59pm, Wednesday 5 August.

The Barwon Valley Activity Centre (BVAC) is a unique, multi purpose stadium located just south of the Barwon River in Belmont.

The BVAC central location is great for regular sporting competitions and as a training venue. It is well suited for events, trade shows, and markets. It is also the venue of the Belmont Market.

BVAC and it's user groups offer a wide range of activities for the community including: Futsal (indoor soccer), Badminton, Skate Night – Youth Services, and Roller Derby as well as junior sport development programs such as Gymbaroo and Mini Sports (3 to 4 years).

BVAC also has multiple futsal development programs Little Kickers (18 months to 7 years) and Futsal Clinics (6 to 10 years and 11 to 14 years).
