Our new office will have 122 car parks, primarily for City pool vehicles.
We understand that car parking is an ongoing concern in central Geelong. We are developing a car parking strategy for central Geelong, as well as working with the state government and other key agencies to improve the transport experience in and around the CBD, as the region adjusts to strong growth.
We’re working towards our community-led Clever and Creative vision of 50 per cent of journeys to work conducted by public transport, walking or cycling. In our new Civic Precinct, we’re creating an active, accessible public precinct, with end-of-trip facilities to encourage active transport such as walking and riding.
We’ll be working with our staff over the next three years in the transition to the new location.
For many staff, their existing arrangements can continue, and proximity to the Geelong Railway Station will provide better public transport options via bus and train for staff and community alike.
