The Design Series: Art Quilt Making - Textile Art With Rebecca Wolske

As we await the opening of Art Quilt Australia 2019, spend your Sunday afternoon with Contemporary Australian Textile Artist Rebecca Wolske as she shares her skills, knowledge and passion for Art Quilts.

In this hands-on workshop, you will discover free motion stitching techniques, basic thread painting, experimenting with mixed media, the use of interfacing to get the most out of your Art piece, and learn how to master a sewing machine in free motion.

You will leave this masterclass with the knowledge to continue at home. Includes all materials, but do bring any scraps from past projects that you’d like to re-use (silk, furnishing fabrics, batik, etc.).

This masterclass is part of The Design Series - a series of exclusive National Wool Museum masterclasses exploring creativity with fibre, showcasing creative people and paying tribute to Geelong's recent designation as a UNESCO City of Design.
