Applications are opening on 7 June 2019 for grants to undertake restoration works works to eligible commercial heritage buildings in Central Geelong.

The Central Geelong Heritage Fund has a key focus on heritage restoration projects that will benefit the commercial streetscapes in Central Geelong.

The Fund offers an excellent opportunity for the owners and occupiers of these valuable pieces of our history to bring them back to their former glory.

Eligible projects may include:

  • reinstating a historic verandah or other historic building element that has been removed;
  • reinstating or reconstructing a historic building facade;
  • removing introduced building facades and paintwork; and
  • restoring building names and historic building signage.

Applications will be open until 5:00pm on Friday 2 August 2019.
