Municipal Early Years Plan 2018-22

The Municipal Early Years Plan 2018-2022 sets out a range of key strategies and actions to address local needs and priorities to improve the health and wellbeing of children aged 0-8 years and their families in the City of Greater Geelong.

Delivery of the Municipal Early Years Plan is a key strategic priority in the Council Plan 2018-2022. The Greater Geelong: A Clever and Creative Future engagement undertaken in 2017, which captured more than 16,000 voices from our community, was used to inform the development of the four themes in the plan.

The Municipal Early Years Plan 2018-2022 has four key themes;

  • Supporting families to help children achieve their full potential
  • Promoted high quality innovative services
  • Provide early and sustained support for those who need it most
  • Provide accessible and inclusive services

The Municipal Early Years Plan 2018-2022 builds on City of Greater Geelong’s previous municipal early years plans and considers relevant state and federal government policy and planning frameworks.
