The City of Greater Geelong’s website tables the expenses claimed by our Administrators for the past financial year.

These relate to the normal costs of doing business, including communications, taxis, corporate costs, functions, travel and accommodation, vehicle use, and training and development.

The Administrators’ appointment by the Victorian Government allows them to claim reasonable allowance expense amounts, of which the major component is accommodation and some local or interstate travel.

For example, both Kathy Alexander and Peter Dorling claimed travel to Parliament House, Canberra as part of a delegation to advocate for regional development in the Geelong region.

There are no claims for overseas travel.

The expenses claimed by the Administrators comply with the Victorian Government’s expectations, and are in line with other appointments of Administrators to regional councils.

The City is obliged to cover these business expenses.

The City remains fully committed to ensuring the transparent accountability of public funds by tabling Administrator expenses on our website.
