In the past 18 months, the City has carried out 3,076 standard Food Safety Assessments, resulting in four
infringement notices being issued.
These notices was issued in relation to a cleaning, hand washing and temperature control issues.
During this time we also identified 217 potential food safety issues, which were able to be rectified quickly
and without the need for infringement notices.
It’s pleasing that the vast majority of businesses have complied.
The hospitality sector has experienced huge growth in our region in recent years, with plenty of high quality
food and drink venues on offer for locals and visitors to enjoy.
