Funding and fees
GAWS is not run and operated by Council and is not government-funded, the Society relies on public generousity to support the Society to shelter and rehouse unwanted animals.
Adopting a pet
All pets that you purchase through GAWS will be desexed and microchipped before you take them home.
Registering pets
In Victoria legislation requires that all dogs and cats aged three months or older must be registered with their local Council, all dogs must be microchipped prior to registration, all cats must be microchipped and desexed prior to registration.
GAWS now have the facilities to register your pet on-site during opening hours.
