Applications for a planning permit can be lodged online, via mail, email or directly at any of our customer service centres.
Before applying please ensure you have prepared and obtained all the necessary information required for the permit, see preparing to apply for a planning permit.
Select the planning permit you wish to apply for:
- residential development for a single dwelling
To construct or extend a single dwelling on a lot. This also includes demolition works.
- development for commercial or multi-dwelling
To construct or extend any building or to construct or extend a dwelling where there is more than one dwelling on a lot, or construction of two or more dwellings. This also includes demolition works.
- miscellaneous development
This includes demolition works, the display of signage, the removal of vegetation and earthworks.
- use of land
Use land for a use which requires a planning permit. This also includes a waiver of parking requirements and a liquor licence.
Applications with multiple fees cannot be applied for online (for example: development and subdivision or development and Use).
You can submit these electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org with the appropriate fees (please phone to find out the correct fee) and a completed credit card authorisation form. NB - We are unable to accept payments over the telephone and all applications must include the appropriate fee.
In person or by mail
You can visit:
- the Planning Office at 100 Brougham Street, Geelong - Office Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
- any of our customer service centres during opening hours
