Geelong Resource Recovery Centre and Transfer Station

Our Geelong Resource Recovery Centre and Transfer Station accept a wide variety of items including old computers, building materials, whitegoods and hard waste.

Our Geelong Recycling and Resource Recovery Station (Douro Street) is operated and staffed by GDP Industries on our behalf.

Operating hours:   7:30am to 4:15pm daily
Location: 100 Douro Street in North Geelong
Closed: Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day

No charge for domestic quantities of:
•  Clean Cardboard and paper (0.5 cubic metre maximum)
•  Refrigerators/pressed metal goods
•  Aluminium and steel cans
•  Milk and juice cartons (liquid paper board)
•  Plastic, milk, juice and soft drink bottles
•  BBQ gas cylinders (up to 9 kilograms)
•  Oil/containers -Can only accept a maximum of 30 litres in any one transaction of any motor oil. These need to be in maximum of 5  litre containers.
•  Car batteries
•  Scrap Metal
•  Glass bottles and jars
Also free of charge:
•  Car or machine oil, paint and fluorescent tubes
•  Computer items
•  Fluorescent lights
•  Household batteries
•  Hot water services
•  Paint and paint tins (domestic quantities of paint - up to 30 litres in one transaction) 
•  Rigid plastic containers
•  TVs
•  Tools
•  White goods – fridges, ovens, dryers, dishwashers etc
