WiFi and enhanced broadband

Residents and visitors to Geelong can enjoy access to free WiFi in a number of locations around the City.

Our community will soon benefit from more locations, faster speeds and greater download capacities after the City was awarded a $1.5 million Grant through the Victorian Government’s Connecting Regional Communities Program. This is an important way the City is improving digital inclusion in our community.

Close to 600 residents were consulted in October 2019. The engagement findings will help to shape the plan for improved public WiFi in 2020. Further engagement will take place in March 2020 to learn about the connectivity issues and needs of our local business community.
