Environmentally Sustainable Design for Subdivisions in Regional Victoria

Geelong along with Wodonga, Bendigo, Ballarat, Shepparton, Baw Baw, Wangaratta and Moorabool shire councils were awarded funding to identify and test the feasibility of embedding environmental sustainable development in subdivisions. The goals were to:

  • Define 'best practice subdivision' and how it should be measured
  • Establish how 'best practice' is achieved in regional Victoria
  • Recommend tools for implementation

The project included a:

  • Proof of Concept
  • Cost benefit analysis
