Date: Wednesday, 10 July 2019 to Friday, 16 August 2019

The City has identified an opportunity to prepare an Urban Design Framework (UDF) for the area around the South Geelong station.

Below are some of the key elements the UDF will address:

  • creating a shared vision for the area

  • recommendations for upgrades to spaces and places for people and events

  • streetscape improvements to make the area safe and accessible to all

  • identifying opportunities to encourage a mix of housing types

  • ideas for a clever and creative South Geelong

The City is exploring ways the streets and spaces around South Geelong Station can be improved.

The South Geelong Station UDF Survey will help us understand what you value about the area; what's working well and not working so well, and what the area should look like and be like in the future.

You can participate and contribute by completing the survey.

We will also be running community workshops where we will share ideas about how we can help the area grow and develop into the future, while respecting its local character.

We are offering three workshop times to capture as many people as possible, and the content will be the same for each so you only need to attend once.

Community workshop details are as follows:

  • Session 1: Wednesday 31 July, 5.30pm-8.30pm
East Geelong Football & Netball Club, Richmond Oval, 1 Richmond Crescent, South Geelong 3220
  • Session 2: Tuesday 6 August, 6.00pm-9.00pm
